INTRODUCTION

Ladewin Initiative (also known as LADEWIN) is a registered nonprofit organization, incorporated with the government of Nigeria with RC: CAC/IT/No 150543. It is also registered with the Federal Ministry of Education through FCT Agency for Mass Education with No: FCT/AME/CE/APP/022. It also registered as a Nongovernmental Organization to do any activities as deem fit in Nigeria, recognized by the Ministry of Budget and National Planning with RN: MBNP/NGO-IC/S.1284/1. LADEWIN is cleared and certified by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission’ Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering EFCC SCUML with RN: SC073703. 

LADEWIN began in 2014 as Evergreen Competition in Agege, Lagos, Nigeria as an extra-curricular activity for schools. Ever since then, it has improved, metamorphosed to become what is today. Ladewin Main Objective emphasize promoting sustainable development programmes for societal development and growth. LADEWIN executes its programmes through 8 distinct thematic programmes; Adult Education, Capacity Building, Competition, Award, Community Health Outreach (CHO), Zero Hunger for Widows and Orphans (ZH4WO), Community Sanitation for Green Sustainability (CS4GS), and Basic Human Right Campaign (BHRC). Ladewin is open for partnership with CSOs, Individuals, Businesses, and Government bodies in promoting sustainable agenda and reaching more Nigerians. To help create an enabling environment for the realization of the developmental goals and develop people to make them active contributor within the society in order for them to live a better, fuller and richer life, both as individual and as social units.

WHO WE ARE

Ladewin Initiative is an independent registered non-governmental organization based in Abuja-FCT, Nigeria. Ladewin prime theme is providing adult and non-formal education for uneducated Nigerians.

A social initiative launched in 2014 with the goal of contributing to improving the living standard of the people through adult education, capacity building, competition, advocate good healthcare, encourage zero hunger, and enlightening people. 

Education to every nation is an important tool to fight ignorance, disease and poverty. It is a means to raise enlightened citizens who help in bringing about a prosperous nation. We are on a mission to help improve education system, and empower people. Ladewin is a nonprofit organization that runs and operates with helps from volunteers, membership, general donations and patronage of all sorts.

Ladewin Initiative is an NGO in Nigeria established for the purpose of promoting sustainable development programmes, and specifically assist the degrading educational system through provision of adults literacy programmes for who never had the advantage of any formal education or those who are prematurely dropped-out of formal school. 

LEADERSHIP

About the Founder

Prince Segun Abiri is the Founder and Executive Director of Ladewin initiative. He is a social entrepreneur professional with over 7 years of experience in the fields of Education, Community Development, Social Innovation, Social Work/Entrepreneur, Technical and Vocational Educational Training, Project Management, Information Technology, Career Development, Programme Planning and Execution, and Leadership and Mentorship.

Segun has his first degree in Philosophy from Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba-Akoko, ICAN ATS Training from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and currently running his PGDE at NTI Kaduna, Abuja Centre. An indigene of Ile-Ife, Osun State. He is a trained and certified Project Management Professional both in PRINCE2 and PMI (UK and USA Standard). He is a World Literacy Foundation 2021 Ambassador, an Alumni of YALI RLC West Africa,  and a Youth Ambassador of Change Ambassador of Peace & Humanity (CAPH) from YELI/Yeshua International Italy.

Segun has several published and unpublished articles to his name and has participated in national and international conferences, including; 1st and 2nd International Conferences on Inclusivity, Equality & Diversity in University Education in Nigeria, University of Lagos; eLearning Africa Kigali Rwanda; and YALI RLC Accra Ghana, UNESCO Institute of Lifelong Learning, among others.  Segun is the writer of “ABC of Adult Education for Practitioners.”

Lawal Adamu is a Trustee of Ladewin Initiative, and Focal Person for North West, Nigeria. He studied Biology Education from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, and has a teaching experience of 9 years. He is based in Kano, Nigeria.

Onwuasoanya Stalwart Chidiebere

Onwuasoanya Stalwart Chidiebere is a Trustee Member of LADEWIN. He is the Focal Person for South East, Nigeria. An educationist and a counselor by profession. He is currently a Senior Education Officer at FCT UBEB.

Mrs Oyindamola Moshood is an agropreneur, a business administration graduate, a wife and mother. She is a Founder member of LADEWIN.

Pastor Oladimeji Joshua is a clergy at CAC, Abuja. He is a programme Coordinator. He is married with 3 children and had over 30 years of experience in the Construction and engineering industry.

Oladele Stephen Babajide is a staff of LADEWIN initiative, and facilitator at Ladewin Adult Education. He is a certified teacher by profession with over 8years of teaching experience, and a business entrepreneur.

Oluremi Oyediji

Capacity Building

Oluremi Oyediji is a Civil/Research Engineer, and a businessman. A founding member of LADEWIN, with interest for human welfare and youth capacity building. He is passionate about Welfare supports for Prison Inmates through his initiative, Folpe Foundation. He is currently based in Canada.

Chidiebere Onwuansoanya

Competition & Award

Onwuasoanya Stalwart Chidiebere is a Trustee Member, a facilitator at Ladewin Adult School. He is the Focal Person for South East, Nigeria. An educationist and a counselor by profession. Comedian and event manager. He is currently a Senior Education Officer for FCT UBEB.

Dr. Musango Dennis Mukwelle

Dr. Musango Dennis Mukwelle is the CEO Makwalla Healthcare Services LTD Abuja. An alumni of Lagos Business School, PhD, Medical Quality, London UK. He is a health consultant, and a QMS/QA professional.

Dtn. Adetutu Onabanjo is currently a facilitator in LADEWIN initiative. She is a business enterpreneur and a dietitian by profession.

Pastor Oladimeji Joshua is a resident Pastor at the CAC, Abuja Chapter. An ex student of Ladewin Adult Education, cum Trustee Member and Programme Coordinator. He is married with 3 children and had over 30 years of experience in the Construction industry.

Malam Lawal Adamu, is an indigene of Zamfara state. He is a Programme Officer at Solidaridad. He is a Trustee Secretary, Ladewin Initiative, and Focal Person for North West, Nigeria. He studied Biology Education from Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto, and has a teaching experience of 9 years.

Meet Mr Etaghene Jean Okiemute, A Biologist Graduate, Currently Facilitates at Ladwin Centre Abuja. Mr Jean hails from Delta State, and have Eight years of teaching experience. He is a comedian and data analyst. He is married with three children.

Basic Human Right Campaign

Barr. Titilayo Akindoyin is the Managing Partner at Scales Practitioners. She has over 12 years of experience in Litigation and Commercial Law Practice in Nigeria. She is the Convener of the Rising Youths Summit, an initiative that empowers Teens. She is a proud mentor to the Founder of LADEWIN. Married to Engr. David Akindoyin and a Proud Mother of 3 Boys.
